Premiers fall despite valiant second half effort

After looking very strong in the opening 20 minutes the Premiers conceded two quick tries to find themselves behind late the first half. Not long before the whistle was to blow for oranges the defining moment of the game occurred with MSP lock Nemani Waka red carded for a dangerous tackle.

Trailing 9-17 and with only 14 men entering the second half, most would have expected Ories to clean up - but this was certainly not the case. Our team kept their chins up and played some solid rugby to keep themselves in the game right until the final whistle blew. Although they will be no doubt disappointed, our team can take pride in gutsing out a tough second half against a quality opponent.
